I won't miss the Coach, I will miss the man Les Miles was. He helped countless people in the State of Louisiana and was a role model for so many young people. He was the father figure some of his players never had. He did a lot for this university and state, that is what I hope doesn't get lost with all of his coaching failures. He was Michigan man, but he's a Louisiana man now and forever. Thank you Les for everything, thank you for being a stand up man and helping countless people achieve their dreams. I will never forget you or what you did.

That was a really rude comment, the nerve of some people.

good post. theres alot of pansies on here that cant step back and look at the bigger picture. Les Miles was a great man. I walked into his office one tuesday morning and, despite his secretaries advice, he took me in to his office just to chat for an hour. he signed autographs for my family, and gave me his personal contact information. he is truly the type of man everyone should mimic. thank you les. and geaux tigers;

I wish he could have went out a different way. One more game in tiger stadium, just one more.

I couldn't make it to the Mississippi State game this year so the last game I watched Les at was the Texas Bowl last year.

Never will forget the game at Arizona State after Katrina.

It will be forever engrained in my mind like the Steve Gleason blocked punt for the Saints!

No, I just would like to see a man of his caliber not be dumped like a back alley whore.

Something tells me he keeps his home in Baton Rouge? I can't see him moving back to Ohio, or some neutral place like Nashville. I think he'll get into TV/ESPN, still live here. He might take some time and watch his son play at UNC, daughter swim at Texas, the other going to Nebraska.

Hopefully he will stay in Baton Rouge so I won't have to move

I guess thats reasonable....if it were true. He fricking slapped you across the face as a fan when he essentially promised change and none was forthcoming. He slapped you across the face again when he stuck around and fricked up the first 3 out of 4 games of the season instead of bowing out gracefully like Spurrier. Some know when to hold em and when to fold em.
