find where he said that MIles WON'T play a freshman...No one ever said that he WON'T ever play a freshman. They did however say that he won't play a more talented Freshman over an upperclassmen. And he didn't start Peterson until about midseason right??? Took way too long to figure out that the kid is a beast!

What about McCray??? How long did it take Miles to figure out that he is not a covering defensive back??? about a season and a half!!!!!!!! WOW!

Was that for the Ravens or the Giants?

Another "argument" that can't be argued with. With y'all's knowledge of football, I can see how you would be so quick to challenge Les' judgment.

Really??? Are you saying that Miles benched Hatch to put Lee in??? Hatch didn't even know who he was for about 4 weeks dude.

bullshite. Our coaching staff made a mistake, just like with Booty and Davey. The proof is irrefutable in the leadership with the new QB and the new level of play of teammates. Players knew it, and now, we all know it. Get over it and face facts.

Really??? HOw many times did they put him in for OFFENSIVE PLAYS PER GAME this season???
Well, he had 21 rushes and 2 catches. By your argument, he was in on 4 plays every game and got the ball every time he was in. So 4 touches over 13 games would be 52 touches. Looks like he's about 19 shy of your argument.

I don't think it makes much sense simply to assume he's wrong when we know absolutely nothing about how the freshman in question was performing before he showed up in a game.

WHO CARES how he was performing in practice! No one knows how any fresman is going to play until you put him in a game! (no matter how he is performing in practice). This is why you gotta put him in here and there to see what he has! Or you can just burn your QB's redshirt during a nonconference game late in the season by putting him in to hand the ball off 7 times when you are already winning big

problem with putting trindon is, the other team KNOWS LSU is getting the ball to him.

guess the LSU coaches never heard of "decoy"

But I can point out that you just claimed that Trindon Holliday has only been in on 4 plays in every game,

Doesn't this quote that came from you imply that he is in MORE THAN 4 offensive plays per game??? You are confusing me.

but quarterbacks?
Ah, I see. So when you said,
quote:

miles does not trust freshman.

period.

what you really meant was, "Miles does not trust true freshman at the QB position early in their true freshman season, but redshirt freshmen he'll trust a little earlier, and at other positions he's sometimes okay with it if the freshman has progressed and developed to the point that he is better than the upperclassmen . . . period."

Way to stick to your guns, there.

Btw, I wonder how much shite you think the Gator fans should have given Urban Meyer for not starting Tim Tebow from day one in that 2006 season?

oh stop with that shite.

tebow played in EVERY game that season.

I WISH the LSU coaching staff had enough common sense to have put JJ in there at least as the option QB.

exactly what I am saying! That is why he has to be on the field for more than 4 or 5 offensive plays per game...gotta use him as a decoy a little more...then when he finally does get the ball, HUGE PLAY!

I see. So we should hold practices, and evaluate the players, but then just ignore all that and start all the freshmen whether they have a clue what's going on or not. Yeah, I'm sure your trophy case will be filling up a lot faster than Miles' with that philosophy.

I just cannot believe there are this many people who claim to actually follow college football and cannot grasp the concept that some true freshman actually get a lot better over the course of their 1st year, such that they are much more capable of performing well at the end of the season than they are at the beginning.

Yes. And when someone with more trophies than Miles comes to me and says otherwise, I'll think about reconsidering my opinion.

whatever dude! You keep turning everything around and putting words in my mouth. Find where I said that practice is not important! I am just saying that you never know how a kid is giong to perform when you actually put him in the game. Just because he is owning everyone at practice doesn't mean he is going to perform as well during a game. Do you think that JL threw 2 or 3 picks during every practice?????????? And WE ALL understand that true fresmen get better over the course of the season, but you gotta put them in the GAME here and there throughout the season to really see what they got!!! You can't just rely on performance at practice!!! MORAL: IF MILES WOULD HAVE PUT JJ IN HERE AND THERE FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON, JL WOULD NOT HAVE HAD SUCH A HORRIBLE TIME THIS YEAR BECAUSE HE WOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE BENCH BY THE 5TH GAME OF THE SEASON.
