1. We don't cook for the opposing teams until they are eliminated. We don't want to do anything to disrupt their training regimen.

2. Sounds like you just have sand in your vagina because nobody ever offers YOU a burger or a beer.

Stop being such an asshat, and maybe somebody will actually invite you to tailgate with them.

Only the final score counts.

DIdnt you start a thread earlier today talking about how you werent going to the game today because it was "just southern"? And you had tickets but gave them away.

Now you had to work so you couldnt go. Interesting, your story changed.

And yes, LSU Baseball fans would have complimented the Southern player EVEN IF Southern did beat LSU.

There's something everybody's forgetting. At the time the pitcher went out and got the ovation, I believe the score was 2-2 and LSU was still in danger of losing the game. The fans gave a deserving applause to a great performance by an opposing player. I call bullshite because you're analyzing after the fact. You weren't there, you didn't feel the moment.

i thought most fanbases clap for a pitcher when he's departing, it's a sign of respect.

You really need to read that whole thread before posting some idiotic "gotcha" post. It was clearly stated in the thread that I had to work. You're a complete dumbass.

Not doing what? Not wanting to give the guy a reach around? The kid pitched a great 7 innings of ball. I don't think my clapping would make him feel better one bit. But if it makes you feel like a classier fan, then by all means...continue.

I'm sure if LSU would have lost the atmosphere would have been equal to when LSU lost to Nichols earlier in the year at home. I know. I was there. I didn't hear much clapping or applauding from the superfans. My mistake. My seats out in 129 must be too far away from the classier folks.

In the Nichols game I dont think any pitcher for Nichols pitched long enough to warrant that. Besides the starter that went 2 innings, every other pitcher went 1.

CajunRevolution: "I would have done nothing."

Don't you just love having a guy who doesn't show up for the game, take it upon himself to tell those who did who or when they should applaud!

I'm sorry, but I have to question the agenda or baseball smarts of anyone saying ""I would have done nothing" and then piss and moan at those who showed some baseball type respect to a player.

Haven't read the whole thread, but the Southern pitcher did get a standing O from the Tiger faithful. Score was tied with 2 runners on when he came out of the game. Kid pitched a hell of a game.

So, other than your posts, what would be the appropriate LSU fan's response in your opinion?

I am so sick of this point. Oh...those LSU fans are so "knowledgable". How does applauding a great play by the opponent make you "knowledgable"? Most of the people that walk into that stadium don't know dick about baseball. I have sat around them and hear them talk during the game. But someone at some point must have said on TV or something "oh those LSU fans are so knowledgable! They just applauded the other team's great play!!" and it kinda stuck. Point is, we are great winners, sore losers, and we love to eat our own (Jarrett Lee agrees with this). How many of you knowledgable football fans applauded some of those INT for TD's the other teams made last year? Were you not appreciating good football by the other team?--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Damn fine point.

Uh... no.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I won't dispute that from what I've seen so far on the thread.
