Ripping the players apart at practice or film session. We definitely have some inexperience or lack of talent. But what we were doing in the defensive backfield was not that complicated. And I have never seen so many blown coverages in a game.
There are definitely other issues. Lack of pass rush. Lbers inability to shed blocks etc. but I have never seen a game with blown coverages left and right and players jumping up and down mad at each other for it.

That is definitely one thing that is not reminiscent of an LSU defense. It was very frustrating to see so much of that going on

take the PD sticker off the helmet for the d until they play better. also strip the 18 off barrow until the entire defensive unit plays better allowing their leader his number back.

He's paid top dollar for a reason, and it's not just to coach readymade pro athletes.

I hope he's working day and night on solving the defensive issues. He's definitely going to earn his pay this season.

Who is "ripping" Chavis apart? He cost LSU the game, not some teenagers.

Coaching. The players didn't decide to line up in a prevent defense with 4 minutes left in an offensively dominated game, that was a very poor coaching decision, one that Georgia didn't make and won the game because of it.

Jalen Mills needs to be bitched out worse than anyone. He was acting like a bitch every time he blew a coverage and trying to blame other people. The biggest problem with this D is the lack of cohesiveness and lack of communication. The LBs don' t make adjustments and our safetys don't know what the frick to do. Loston is a bust and needs to ride the fricking bench. He offers nothing. He takes terrible angles, is caught out of position constantly, can't cover and thinks it's better to try and hit the receiver than play the ball. It's infuriating.

Our best D looks like this:

DE:Allen
DT:Freak
DT:Ego
DE:Hunter

LB:Kwon
LB:Barrow
LB:Beckwith

CB:Mills
FS:Martin
SS:Thompson
CB:Robinson
NB:White

Welter, Loston, Collins and Rasco don't cut it. We need to get those young bloods out on the field cause these older guys aren't getting it done.

+1

I saw a lot of undisciplined coverage..that falls largely on the coach

They played like that all game. It's not like the Bama game last year where we were dominating them and then went soft at the end of the halves and gave up quick scores. We were giving up quick scores the whole game due to really miserable play in the secondary.

I agree with the view on our safeties. Mills I believe held up. Jalen Collins is frustrating to watch

Its true but we definitely picked up the play on d in the second half and I would have rather seen us play aggressive right there. And yes, the secondary was miserable all game...why rely on them then to make plays in a prevent defense? The last thing our secondary needed was to give Aaron Murray infinity time in the pocket.

How is we see that chavis's prevent D doesn't work when were trying to hold the lead. Its burned us time an time again! Damn it gives up 10 yards at least all the way down the field then someone is usely out of position about 30 yards from their goal line! Were just fans an see that. He's a fricken coach who gets paid well! SO PLEASE FIX IT! NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES! CLEAN HOUSE IF U HAVE TO!
