I cringe every time I see Teddy Bear Jones do a back bend at the plate

I normally am cool with the in the box gimmicks, whatever helps you hit. However it’s very clear it pulls his head and torso out of the box immediately before the pitch is thrown and he gets under every pitch. If you watch the way his body bends it’s almost like he’s having to overcompensate exactly opposite every swing to balance himself out. It’s very strange, and it’s very clearly not working for him. Just stick your nose in and drive the ball.
