Also when we do bring pressure it's not disguised at all. Looks like 80% it is Perkins and you can see him coming from a mile away.

It looks to me to protect the DB you have to have edge guys that can get home. Right now the only edge guy that can get to QB is Perkins. Womack looked and did get to QB and the LB from Oregon looked really good against MSU and when he got in game last night.

But like I said I am not a coach. So how do you fix horrendous zone coverage and or protect the DBs because 1 good one and Sam ain't enough.

Bring better pressure

I’m ok with giving up yards underneath as a trade off for not allowing the deep ball. But when the play breaks down we have gotten out of position and burned

You have to be multiple and to disguise to play zone effectively. Last year, you started to really see that by the Auburn game. The new players in this secondary seem to be picking it up even slower and now we’ve lost Brooks.

It’s on House to make it work. He probably needs to simplify what they are doing and figure out how to disguise within that.

They also need to play the young playmakers. Weeks and Harris are out there most of the snaps now, and that’s good. Jefferson, Womack and Shands need to get a lot more run starting this week. They will mistakes, but they can also kill drives with big plays along with Perkins.
