but that doesn't mean that the real world doesn't evaluate a coach by his metrics - Wins / Losses.

You made my point. His W/L record is fantastic yet he couldn't even get UM to call back. What gives?

Can you hear me now?

well i guess since he inherited a championship team all he had to do was win another championship right? only meyer is allowed to lose 4 games a year. at least they still had tebow. I think the excuse that year was the defense.

but meyer is the frickin greatest!!

oklahoma with 3 losses maybe more. But stoops is the shite!!!!!

frick THROW MARK RICHT AND BOBBY frickIN BOWDEN TO THAT LIST. THEY ARE frickING TERRIBLE

Yeah because you and I and everyone else here knows what transpires in the administration offices of high profile athletic programs. Maybe Miles rubbed him the wrong way, maybe Michigan wanted a defensive man, Maybe Lloyd frowned down on Miles - a hundred different things could have gone wrong.

The dumbest example would be to say that "well he could have gone after the big game" but after all that embarrassment for michigan on national TV by Miles rejecting them and saying he was staying at LSU - why did they not call him again - HMMMMM!!!!!!!!!

Maybe all schools are not like Bama and Saban - maybe Michigan wants to retain a modicum of class and maybe so does Miles.

I am sure he feels underappreciated at this point, and i would not blame him for leaving if someone came calling. He will always be in lord sabans shadow.

That's OK b/c Saban will always be in Lord Bryant's shadow in Gumpville.

Wasnt he mentioned for a second for the dallas job, that Jerry really enjoyed working with him while he coached there?

That could be sooner than one might think with Rich Rod's current performance.

I do not think that he is in any hurry. He has a good gig here. It would take the confluence of many things at LSU and Michigan to get him to depart in my opinion.

Read the article. Miles agent gives a blow by blow of their overtures to UM and how it fell on deaf ears.
