The last two games actually show cased a bit of what JL is capable of. I can't help the growing confidence that I feel when I repeatedly watch the Ten. And Fla. Games. I dint want to jump the gun, but this kid may really be special!

I honestly believe with good playcalling and the receivers we have, he can have a great year. His confidence is up 10000%, and I couldn't be happier for the kid.

This is what my novel of a post earlier was about... I just bumped it.. I think JL could have been amazing by now if we had taken our lumps with him through 08 and into 09. He has talent and always had. Our fans are just so rabid they destroyed him. I took a lot of criticism for telling people in 08 to chill out and give him time. He is still our best QB.

It is a shame that folks on this board do not understand that being a FRESHMAN is NOT a good thing when it comes to QBing.

All I know is no longer feel like we are in the dire qb situation we thought we were in. I'm actually glad to have him back another year for the next. Before, I was dreading going through 2 more years of the same stuff as the last 2.

Having JL playing well reminds us just how good this team is, and why in the hell the rest of the idiots out there lost sight of this and were doubting the tigers.

you nailed it. JL was put into a spot he did not need to be in. This guy is a winner and the future of the program

yes he has an amazing release, ad I think his freshman year he got into trouble because of it. He was so used to being good enough to fit a ball anywhere he wanted in Highs chool, in college the faster defenses ate that up. If given time he would have settled down and worked that out as he seems to have done now. I see good things from him the rest of his career here, but at the same time... he WILL throw another pick and maybe even a few pick sixes.. nobody is perfect. The reaction from the fan base is what I dread. We will have people come out of the wood works with OH NOES LEE SUCKS!

Between now and the end of the season, he is going to have a bad game. May have two. I think the fan base has become a little fickle and turning too quickly on QB's including Lee his first term as starter and now JJ. Gotta have patience and just roll with the changes, see how things work out. I am very excited to see the offense respond to the QB change and hope it can continu, but argue for a little patience as well.

Freshmen can do a lot more than we tend to give them credit for. The mistake made with JL was he was given way too much, way too soon. That is the mistake Crowton made with JL. I think he thought a 5th year senior was still back there.

Now that he has matured and grown, I think he can get it done. The only problem I have with JL is that he is like Favre in that he has never seen a pass he couldn't complete. His confidence in his arm sometimes overrides what his arm can actually deliver.

Early returns suggest that a trend may be building. JL could be our next surprise star at QB not only for the balance of 2010 season, but also 2011.

This was the general consensus among fans after the Ga Tech game a few years ago...

Like Roger said, have patience with any and all QBs.

Well, you would probably have to mix it up a little more than that to keep the defense guessing.

Definitely looking forward to Lee in 2011.

Those of us who attended the spring game saw a very polished looking quarterback. Jarrett has earned the praise that he has received. Jordan may have played his best game last week also. Competition brings out the best. I don't see a team on LSU's schedule that they can't beat.

when I said this before the year started I got smack talk.. remember someone called Teacher bashing Lee as never will be as good as Jefferson.

I guess Teacher got schooled.

I think in the end the best solution is to use JL as your "starter" he may come off then bench but he needs to lead the drives. Let JJ run the wildcat inside the 10 if they want to keep him involved. I think we have others that can do that as well, but having them and JJ on the field together changes things for a defense. JJ can complete short quick passes, so goal line passing while more tricky is possible with him in the game.

Regardless anyone who cannot tell from the imbalance of scoring drives between them who the real QB is needs to step back and take another look.

Yeah, it appears at this time JL needs to be the main QB, with JJ coming in situationally. If the tables turn, make changes. But the way they are playing now this would be my way of involving each.
