My guess, Hill doesn't even get the start (based on the RB position history), which I don't really even find all that troubling, as some do.
Some people are now on the Hill train - and I think he is a great back and the total package, don't get me wrong - but we have a stable of backs all of which are very capable and all (or at least the top 3) will get their fair share of carries and get their chance to positively affect the game.
Some are confused about Les' motives for playing or not playing the "leading" back (or something similar) but I think it has been a litany of reasons in the past (ex. he let Ware get some resting time early in this season case we all know what he can do, no reason to use him for Towson). I think it is a much bigger picture thing - he looks to keep the most trusted backs healthier and fresher for later in the season. This also lets the younger guys get some experience. In addition, playing lots of guys (with their individual strengths) lets Les use the hot hand (Hill in the SC game, as case in point).
All in all, I really like the way we use our backs. The break down of carries does not really matter to me, plus it is more of an in-game thing.

Miles loves the fact that Ware is a complete back which is why he will start unless he's injured. Ford will always be a change of pace, 10 carry or less back with a high ypc average. Hilliard will play on obvious 3rd and short runs and sometimes to spell Ware. As time goes on, Hill will command more carries because he is just about the second closest to a complete back. Also Miles will go hot hand when it's almost on fire.

I agree with Doc, I don't know why but Les will not start the best running back last week but instead play some one that did not produce. Some times I really worry about Les!
