Maybe the last third of the year and even then it is debatable, especially considering the lack of defense.
nah, the Saints still played better D than NE and GB, who are the only other teams you could compare them to

Saints used to be losers, now they expect to win now that Brees is there. LSU always has the expectation to win.

Great point, and most seem to have selective memory about the "dominance" of the Saban-led LSU teams.

Anyone quoting Bobby Hebert for anything other than proof that idiots can make it should be put down.

Really? So we were seeded lower than SF but it wasn't even debatable that we were better than them. Sorry but the lack of D had me cautiously optimistic the whole year. I never felt that we were the best team in the league

No thanks, in fact, its dumbasses like yourself who I wish would GTFO because you give LSU a bad name. By your quote, you show yourself as an ignoramus who is more interested in being a shrill like Skip Bayless. Doubtful you have any real football experience, and I can pretty much guarantee you are not coaching at any level above Jr. High. Moreover, your quote in an of itself is a stupid generalization that should lead to you heeding your own advice.

at least we aren't like bama fans who worship tree killers (trees are living beings) tresspassers (bummers-- it is a law that you cant just go on someone's property and kill their stuff- mormons!) and sick-os like the teabagger

Yep, Alabama fans worship these people. No doubt.

Then again, I don't know why I bother to respond to somebody who just started a thread on the Saints forum about how the Saints should trade Brees for Tebow, Miller, and a draft pick. And now you're fighting everybody else who says that's the dumbest thing ever. How was 7th grade today?

The Giants played the easiest schedule in the NFL. They got the #1 rush defense because they only faced 2 teams in the top half of the league in rushing. They got the Saints on one of their worst days, that shite happens, but there is no way you can convince me that they were the better team.

Actually if I did my job like Les Miles prepared and did on Jan 9 people would die.

And idiots like you who blindly like their coach no matter how bad they perform is stupid. And most coaches agree that Les made mistakes in that game. And not that it matters I did play high School football a-hole

I never said they were. I said that you'll never convince me that we were easily the best team. I had hope but I lacked faith.

Gotcha. I understand where you're coming from but I was uncomfortable with our D. Honestly, I think it is pretty much the same as the last 3 years. In '09 we got lucky with the amount of takeaways we had. I realize that those numbers nose-dived in the playoffs but even then I didn't feel that we were the best team. It literally didn't hit me that we had won the SB until about 10 minutes after the game. I sat at the edge of my couch just staring off in to space.

Lithium- plenty of ignorant bama fans proudly took pics with Updyke and put them on the net and they cheered on downing as he assualted one of God's children by rubbing his genitals on him. Alcohol might have been Downing's saviour that evening but it won't save him from whats a coming. i pray for his digusting, disturbed and despicable soul; as i do for people like you who use profanity on this board.
John 3:16 is my response to you and anyone else who curses at me or replies with a chilish, pithy (hows that for 7th grade english) response.

Because the Saints actually had a gameplan that gave them a chance to win.

Because the Saints put up a hell of a fight and entertained us. LSU, after the best season of any team ever, took a shite on tv.

I'm still proud of both damn strong football teams, and both will be back next year. The way LSU lost was just flat out bad.

Because they have Drew Brees and Sean Peyton and we have Les Miles and JJ. It wasn't that we lost, it was we didn't even compete. I can promise you that had the Saints kept running the ball when we were behind and kept getting farther behind and still not throwing the ball, they would be saying the SAME things LSU fans are saying now.
