No. He is a sleaze bag and Saban recommended him as a favor to Jimmy Sexton.

I am often a major critic of Miles, but he has more character in his pinky than Nutt. I would send my son to play for Miles... Nutt, not so much. And to add to that, Nutt is a horrible recruiter and would have driven our program into the ground within 3-4 years. Ole Miss will be back to 4-7 within a year or two.

He is. Read the stuff about the text message and email scandal if you ever get a chance.

I just think he is given too much credit for his moderate success at Arky. Petrino will do just as well, probaby better.

I would hate to see what he could do with the talent at a place like LSU.

He did relatively okay, but it's hard to judge because they have only had three coaches (that's including Petrino) since they joined the SEC. His SEC record at Arkansas was abysmal, and his overall record was really fluffed up by rent-a-wins. They really have historically underachieved based on the money and facilities at their disposal.

Petrino is a huge improvement over Nutt for them.

As an LSU fan, I would hate to see him waste it as well.

The co-d coordinators already got that taken care of.

that's the most idiotic statement I've seen in a while

11-2, 11-2, 10-2, 9-4/10-3 =/= 9-5, 9-4, 5-6, 4-7, 10-4, 8-5

1-1 in SEC championship appearances >>> 0-2

3-0 in bowl games >>> 0-4

1-0 in national championship games >>>>>>> 0-0

how much stupider can you get?

Pardon me madame for not being clear as to what I was attempting to say.
Nutt at Arkansas was similar to Miles in OSU. Both had it tough trying recruit players to their school. Most seasons, you could count on them losing 4-5 games & occasionally pulling an upset of of a powerhouse.
Ole Miss hired Nutt after he lost four games his final year at Arkansas & LSU hired Miles after dropped 5 at OSU.

Touche. You'll get no argument from me.

I still wouldn't want Nutt though. While we can be a national title contender next season by getting rid of Malveto, it would take years to drag our program out of the mess Nutt would create. We're already seeing that at Arkansas.

I can't control who is our coach, all I care about is that he is a better coach than we had..
