Disregard the idiot from Ramah-talk about a shithole, he cleary is an idiot if he drove to and is recommending Dothan to stay after a game. That's like a bama fan asking where to stay in Baton Rouge and one of them recommends Shreveport.

Bunch of haters up in here. Tuscaloosa is one of the best college towns in America. If you can't have a blast there, it's you that sucks.

has clearly never been to Tuscaloosa. I never hear anything but good things from the cool LSU fans that actually make the trip.

... Another troll ... Calling all cars!!!

Beg for some sympathy about that shidhole from this board ... AND DON'T READ THE DUDE'S COMMENT ABOUT AZZHOLE HOTEL OWNERS FUGGIN OUTSIDER FANS TO ACCOMODATE THE HOMERS ... It's all true when you risk a reservation there.

I've been to Tuskaloser more than 10 times and it's always IN to the game and Get the flock out!

THAT'S THE PURPLE AND GOLDEN RULE!

You are missing out, bud. It's a great place to hang out for a weekend. And how can you even comment on the city if you're always leaving right after the game to drive three hours back to Montgomery? You've apparently never spent more than a few hours there.

I've spent enough time there to know better than to hang around and get lubricated at ANY OTHER PLACE OTHER THAN AN LSU TAILGATE

If Tuscaloosa does it for you, then lay it all out and tell us ... with details ... all those wunderful things you found!

Something is wrong with you as a person if you can only have a good time with fans of your own team. Some of the best times I've ever had have been on road trips amongst rival fans.

I've had a great time at many SEC venues ... Auburn and Alabama are not two of those

Sure!

Breakfast: Waysider, Rama Jama's
Lunch: City Cafe, 15th Street Diner, Dreamland (just okay, but it's a landmark), Tut's
Dinner: Cypress Inn, Yazoo, Epiphany Cafe, Nick's in the Sticks, Kozy's, Chuck's Fish, The Globe
Late night food: Quick Grill
The Strip: Gallette's, Houndstooth, El Rincon, Red Shed, Bear Trap
Downtown: Innisfree, Brown's Corner, Temerson Square, 4th & 23rd

Student and campus life (especially Greek) is as wild and crazy as any school. Those MFers party...hard. Plus the coeds are as hot--and definitely as easy--as you will find. And a lot of the best bars are just right next to campus.

For gameday itself, the tailgating on the quad is fun (not as good as LSU or Ole Miss, but still top notch). You can also just hang out at the bars right there on the Strip before the game, which is equally fun. The campus architecture is not as distinct as LSU, but it still has a very pretty "classic college" style. The stadium itself is as nice as any facility in America, and the fans can really bring it (though again, not quite like in Tiger Stadium).

Happy to provide details on any of the above spots if you are interested in more.

Thanks Gravtiger - you proved my point.

Seriously, if you can't have fun in Tuscaloosa for an away game - something is wrong with YOU not the town. I think the same can be said for ANY University anywhere (but especially in the South/SEC).

Tuscaloosa isn't a shithole. I'm not saying it's the world's greatest town but it isn't a shithole. Neither is Baton Rouge or any SEC School's city.

Ah well. Some people just want/got to hate on something.

If you're saying the coeds at bama aren't good looking... I don't even know what to say to you.

This loser's a lost cause, no sense in arguing with him. Plus, we don't want losers like that here anyway. More room for the cool tigahs

ETA: i still truly believe he's never been to Ttown-- you can tell the ones who have, they generally like it.

Well, if you were a Delt any time recently, you also know a little something about having such a terrible chapter that you couldn't get any pledges and had to give up your house. Might want to check yourself, because being a LSU Delt doesn't really carry much street cred anymore.

But seriously if you can't acknowledge that Tuscaloosa is an incredibly fun college town full of hot chicks, you're just being purposefully closed-minded over your hatred for Bama.

Hey Gravey Tiger,

When you do their women, do you use any special devices to get them off ...

Cue in that photo of the two hot LSU chicks and that Bama hog

I hear they really respond well to a giant plastic elephant snout in lieu of a dill-dough

Nick's in the Sticks

Highly recommend this place. It's out in the sticks, but the steaks are great and so is their signature drink the Nickodemus.
