It was not at the ankles and was a borderline strike. What made it bad is that the ump was calling those balls previous to that.

Xavier , according to the announcers had a bunch of walks coming into the game, sounds like a pretty disciplined bunch. Holman wasn’t getting the edge call much, and then he got a few low balls called strikes and remember one very high strike. Ump was very inconsistent, but the thing I’ve seen this year with other pitchers, is that they lose composure with the inconsistent strike zones of different umps. Holman is just a cool cat.
