And yall act like if they stop doing "Neck" that's going to make the SS not cuss, they'll find ways to put cuss words into a lot of songs. That's kinda like asking them not to cheer.

Great. Good for them. At least we didn't have to hear "suck that tiger dick" on Saturday, which is a good start.
It just baffles my mind that people defend that chant.

Well, everyone should hear it and do something about the student section. Every grown up that is.
I talked to some students on the walk back to my condo and none of 'em get it. They all think it's funny.
If LSU took a profanity stance and kicked a noticeable number out of a game, maybe they would get it as the word would spread like wildfire.
I always stay after the game to hear the band sing the alma mater and chant "LSU Tigers, fight fight fight" and this last time, a group of students kept chanting "Neck" because they wanted the band to play it.

I'm not necessarily defending it, I'm just saying that they will put the words into a lot of songs. Also, they were doing "Neck" without the band on Saturday.

At some levels. But most children get past that concept of humor by the time they're 14 or 15.

I don't define "suck that tiger dick" as cussing.
It's way past that, it's vulgarity and profanity. I consider cussing as saying damn, chit, bitch or AH.

Ok, well how about you write a letter to Alleva and tell him to E-Mail every student and tell them not to cuss and see how much things change.

Don't you get it, the more you try to suppress the LSU student section, the more they are going to rebel. It's just that simple.
I think this really all started a few years ago since CBS started trying to censor LSU's student section. The students said they weren't having that, and it's getting out of control.
Just don't flatter them with all the attention and it'll go away.

There ought to be a profanity clause on the back of the ticket and each student should sign something at registration making them aware of the repercussions of profanity in the stadium. Then LSU could just start EJECTING the offenders. All it would take is ONE TIME. Sorry bud, I don't like you language, here's the exit.

what you don't get is that the student tickets are a privilege and not a right. they get in for $12. My cost is $70 for non-conference, $80 for conference and Bama was $100 with the fees attached.
My suggestion is play Neck. Then when the chant starts, kick out a large section of the offenders, get their IDs and cancel their tickets for the next game. By large, I mean a noticeable number, not the entire section.
There should be a no tolerance policy for this. It's offensive. It's embarrassing to the university for that to be heard on a national broadcast.
It's a PRIVILEGE, not a right. That needs to be remembered.

You're kidding yourself if you think it will go away.
I have been around since '79. The chancellor made the band stop playing Tiger Rag after the SS attached "a-hole, a-hole" to the end when it was heard on national TV. It didn't come back for years. a-hole is mild compared to what is being chanted now.

Then would you like no students to come to the game? Cause pretty much 90% of the students cuss during the game. If you don't like the cussing, give up your tickets to someone who won't mind.

Obviously, you don't get it either. There's a difference between cussing and vulgarity/profanity.
Suck that Tiger dick isn't cussing. It's much worse and why should fans stay home? That's not the answer. LSU could nip this in the bud if they so chose.

As much fun as it is to attend LSU, it is way past time the University started insisting that its students act like college students rather than low-rent high school dropouts. And it won't be necessary to clean house in the student section at Tiger Stadium if the problem is addressed at its source on Dalrymple Drive.
