Here’s the thing you and others seem to miss. Yes there are plays where the receivers are wide open on lots of Bama TD’s.
Look at your own game tape and see how many times guys are running wide open in your secondary. Several, the opposing QB just couldn’t make the throws or just didn’t see them.
Look at the int near the goal line of the Moo State game. A QB who plants and throws has an open receiver. Fitz takes 2 more steps and throws behind his receiver with no velocity. Go back and look at it, if he hits his receiver in the hands, it’s probably 6.
Now look at the Bama tape and see how many times Tua misses seeing it. The answer is, rarely.
He is a different caliber QB on the college level than Alabama has ever had. Best I have ever seen.
If he is off your DB’s are good enough to make plays. If he’s on you have no chance. But no other team in college football would either.
This will be the Bama offense’s biggest test of the year. I include every other team in college football this year in that statement. Tua dominates here, just hand out the trophy.
