If these 4 are our primary starting DB's, and we mix in Battle, Vincent, Alexander and others as depth and nickel/dime backs...
It will be full-on DBU beast mode.
Come on Fulton appeal!
Edit: Yes, I should have mentioned Paris, Monroe and Harris. Also yes, Battle is first man in spot, but I think Jacoby is going to get most of the snaps by the time we get to the meat of the schedule. Just my opinion. No one knows anything for sure. We stacked!!!

Praying these are the starting 4. That’s 4 NFL players right there.

Sub Monroe in for Stevens, for now, and we’re ready to ride

I’ve always liked Monroe. He was incredible out of highschool, I’ve kind of forgotten about him. That’s amazing we do have better depth than I thought.

Monroe,Battle, and Vincent will all see significant playing time. The depth is a great problem to have, especially with a dedicated Saftey coach

True on Monroe. It could go either way, but my gut says Jacob is ready to unveil his 5-star might.

Praying these are the starting 4.
Best 4 will play. Hopefully the NC double assholes do the right thing and mark Kris immediately eligible.

I mean you’re right I want the best 4 out there. Talent wise those are the 4 best along with Vincent. Everyone will get enough playing time to have an impact so it really doesn’t even matter. I like Vincent as more of a nickel right now then a true cover corner. Next year he’ll have those duties.

Talent wise?
Maybe I’m a dinosaur, but I’m of the belief that you earn a spot in practice.

Battle is a starter and your forgetting about Ed Paris.

Again like I just said I want the best 4 out there. Just stating talent wise those are the best. Doesn’t mean there better football players although right now I would say Greedy, Fulton, Delpit, and Monroe/Stevens are the best options, but we’ll see how the rest of August goes.

Based on what? Battle has started for 2 years and is running with the 1’s.
Posted on 8/8/18 at 12:04 am to TheTexasTiger7
How can you say Stevens is the best when you’ve never seen him play the position in live game. Monroe is solid.
Barring injury Battle is a Day 1 starter and team captain.

I like Battle, but he’s inconsistent and has given up plays. He’s a strong player, but we could benefit from Stevens more imo. Just looking at talent Stevens was the #1 Safety and a 5 star Battle was a 3 star and not even sure where he ranked as a Safety. The best players will play. Just my take on what I think, but I’m not coaching the team so we shall see.

I also like Monroe more than Battle right now.

Greedy, Delpit, and Battle are guaranteed Day 1 starters based on their body of work. And Greedy and Delpit are all-SEC players.
If the younger top 100 recruits are close to as good as expected, then my only concern about the secondary (depth) will be greatly lessened.

Just an FYI Monroe was unanimously ranked #1 safety coming out of high school and was a five star.

Did everyone just forget about Harris?
Posted on 8/8/18 at 12:17 am to My2ndFavCivilNgineer
Just because Battle wasn’t a 5 Star doesn’t mean he can’t play. Using that in a comparison is BS. Stars mean nothing !

Doesn’t mean a damn thing once you step foot on campus.
