Everyone agrees with this. However, would it be that much different than a cornerback coming off the edge to block a field goal and snap her leg in half?

I agree with you, Doc. UNLESS, she kicks well and gets off the field.
I'm still wondering from someone who knows better than I do if a 10 man cover team at the 5 is better than 11 at the 15?

does this happen to kickers often? kickers are rarely ever blocked because they are the last line of defense and usually end up just diving on the ground as runners blow by them.

yall act like kickers take brutal hits/blocks all the time and its just not true...i guarantee you she weighs more than most kickers in college football

RIGHT. See we all agree that she gives up the "I'm a girl" card when she suits up. UNTIL she's injured in a hard hit or worse, a cheapshot. That's when the PR storm hits and LSU looks like callous Football retards jeopardizing a young lady's life for the sake of winning football games. And in all honestly it'll be worse b/c she's attractive.

I'd say, if she can aim it to one side of the field, and have the sideline take her place, without kicking out of bounds, yes.

I'm almost positive that sentence is grammatically incorrect.

Good point. She can't run faster than a 4.9 maybe?

We're talking about a kicker here, it's not like she's going to be taking the power-toss up the middle. Her chance of injury will be no greater than any other kicker, and I seriously doubt Les Miles or any other coach would put her out there if they didn't think she was capable of fulfilling all the aspects of the job.

Very interesting. Now we getting somewhere. So, in theory if she can reach the 5 and angle it to a hash mark, we got ourselves a success story and make history in the SEC. I like the idea.

Now, has anyone seen her kick? Can she even reach the 5?

frick NO. I don't know what I said that led you to believe that but I couldn't agree less with that statement.

Unless she gets a chance to prove herself worthy of hanging with the boys. Then, it's just an unlucky accident.

I've tried, but you can't force them to stay in the kitchen.

Btw tackling is about technique as much as it is about strength and size.

I saw this vividly the other day when I was at a family reunion and a family member about 62 years old (played a lil safety in the NFL). my cousin who plays d1 football(plays is loosely defined) Tight end. They got down in three point stances and the old man sent him flying backwards. They were same height and kid outweighed old man.
I am saying she has as much of a chance at making the tackle as some of the other d1 kickers.

True. Coaches have to know how delicate this situation is, even though the female in question is far from it.

This is some interesting stuff going on at the LSU Football Office for sure.
Believe me, I want to see her kick. It'll be a first for the SEC and I fully support it.
I just don't want to see her hurt nor see LSU deal with the repercussions of say a worst case scenario where she's blindsided by a BamaTard, ending not only her football career but causing some sort of head/neck inury. Like another poster said, I hope she kicks to the endzone and problem solved.

I have no problem with a girl being on the football team, but I just can't see how she would be a better option than a guy. I mean, unless she absolutely kicks the ball through the back of the endzone every time, then there is no reason for her to be on the field. She would be slower than any guy out there would have no chance of making a tackle if she had to. The only thing I could see her being better at FG accuracy.

Not you. Others have said this as well as callers to AFR on the issue. Just saying that nobody expects her to be treated any differently on the field. But at end of the day, SHE is different and it'll shine mo brightly if she's injured.

But others have pointed out that kickers rarely get hurt. On that note, there was that kicker, Gramattica I believe, hurt himself after kicking a field goal. LOL

I can't neither but us posting about it is better than working. I am all for it if she can kill the ball but I think we're a few years away from that.

Edited: I'm a tard.

Wow y'all are looking too much into her height and size. I dont know her personally but how is she going to take getting knocked on her arse a few times? Physically and mentally I think men can take more pain, regardless of their size.

This would be a concern, except that this scenario has never ever happened in the history of the game of football. The average field goal kicker gets roughed maybe once a career. Punts are different but it doesn't sound like she is trying out for punter.

We are quoting her size because:
Velocity = mass * speed
