We all need to chill about potential transfers. This is CFB right now. It happens every year. Oh the irony that we are potentially benefitting from a transfer.
I just read where Tua Tagovailoa said that he planned to transfer if he didn’t get into the title game and had considered transferring earlier in the year. He thought he had outperformed Hurts in practice during the year. It’s a given that Hurts will transfer once Tua is named starter.
Programs like OU, Oklahoma State etc seem to just plug in the next quarterback when someone leaves. Why? Because they evaluate and recruit well enough and enough talented quarterbacks wait their turn. Flynn stayed here and it worked out for him and us.

Tua Tagovailoa

i read that quote as also..
he will transfer IF he isnt the starting QB in 2018 too.

...a not so veiled threat right there.

Flynn was 10 Year’s ago. The landscape has changed - play now, win now, no waiting.

We live in a society now where everything is expected to happen almost instantaneously, so if a kid thinks he has more talent than the guy in front of him, then he’s going to pull the cord and go somewhere he thinks he has an opportunity to play and be seen by scouts.

I don’t blame them. This is a job interview for them, and if that’s what they feel they need to do in order to be successful, then more power to them. These guys don’t owe the schools anything more than playing their best while wearing the uniform.
