“If that means sounding like a drunk a-hole, I agree”...

Are you old enough to be using the f word, Sonny?
Millennial, lol.
Are you an alter of rebman601? You act just like him, before he was banned.

Maybe he should! But it damn sure ain't fricking the pitcher up! Did ANY OF YOU DWEEBS get past T-ball?
I did, in fact. I gave up a couple bombs to Will Clark in high school so I'm old. (We didn't have tee ball)
Why did I give up bombs to Will Clark? Because my catcher made me work and got me outta my rhythm!

That's my story anyway

He is throwing the ball back to the pitcher and making the pitcher bend over on every throw.

I seent it once last night but didn't think much about it. Now I'll be glued to the set.

[quote]You’ve never played a game of baseball if you don’t understand how bad that can frick up your rhythm as a pitcher. Having to completely get out of your zone to focus on chasing the ball around isn’t something that a pitcher should have to do at the college level[/quote

Actually, I have. It's a very minor distraction. How many Ks did The Tigers have?

Agreed, just like in football when a qb throws the ball behind a wr, people will say oh it hit his hands! Yeah but it also ruined his momentum. Pitching is all about rhythm if a guy is in a groove why disrupt him? I for one as a former pitcher find it annoying, just as position players lose focus when pitchers don’t throw strikes.

I have another question about catching.

Do you think pitchers like Hillard with those big curve balls need better catchers than we have? Do you think, for example, that once Hilliard gets a guy on base that Dunn is reluctant to call for the curve because of the abilities of this catcher or that one?
