The sad thing about Gary Crowton is that he's got a good mind for the game, his offense just has way, way too much going on.

I've actually read through his old Louisiana Tech playbook before. He must have had 100 different formations.

The problem is that they only ran about 5-10 different specific conceptual plays out of all of these formations..so it didn't really matter how they lined up. it was always the same thing coming at you.

Not unusual in CFB with 20hrs a week quality time.
12-15 plays are repped until perfect, then run from different sets, motion etc. Trouble is the formations can show tendencies after a while.
