Same here! And that option to the short side IS the worst play ever. I agree with the first person who said it.

Crowton sucks. I was at the Washington game and we were lucky to get yards on that dumbass option crap when the entire offensive line was also doing the "meerkat look." But he's the Wizard! Then disappear and go back to Harry Potter world. He's so bad. Does good for one or two seasons and then sucks arse.

Jordan Jefferson was a first yr starting qb and Crowton should have ran the rock more Charles Scott was avg 4.7 a carry and Keiland Williams was avg 5.3 a carry Crowton didnt give them the ball enough

Crowton managed to lead one of the best offenses in LSU history, to one of the worst offenses in LSU history in 3 seasons.

Crowton does this by not adjusting his scheme to the players on hand, instead he forces his scheme onto the players. This explains the train wreck that the offense has become. Not to mention, with the fastest player in NCAA football teamed up with the number 1 dual threat QB in the country - he managed to do nothing with both of them. Miles had to bring in someone from Florida to show Crowton how to use Shepard. I have no confidence he will do any better this year. LSU will not be an elite program again until Crowton is gone.

Williams and Scott ran behind a horrid offensive line and ran up their backs for 1 yard losses more times than I can count. Both phases of the game sucked last year, that's why we were 119th in offensive production.

Against Washington we gained 30yds on 31 attempts which is less than one yard per carry. With our O-Line, in that game, it really didn't matter what play we ran.

We gained 149 yards on 29 carries

You are correct. It was against Miss St. not Washington. I corrected my post. Thanks.

The option is all about the speed of your backs and blocking. Hesitancy is not an "option" when going down the line. There is nothing wrong with the play itself. However, few colleges have the horses to run it anymore as defenses have gotten faster in responding to the play.
