Sounds like our Auburn buddy knows what he is talking about.
This may be the Bama alumni someone was talking about after the game.
Burleson is a Georgia Tech Grad, but he was born in Alabama, and supposedly he grew up an Alabama fan, but went to Georgia Tech for an education in Engineering.
He was also an SEC official for 25 years, some of which was during the "Bahr Bryant" era of the SEC, when Alabama ran everything in the SEC office and had the NCAA by the balls.

Helping out LSU in the UGA game, could have been intended to insure a higher ranked LSU team when they played Florida and Alabama...

Burleson was also the "replay booth communicator" in the MSU-Fla game. I think we all know what happened in that game.

From Bio page for Dick's book page:

I wanted to reply to this with, could this possibly be?
Dec. 31,'08 GA Tech W 38-3 Atlanta, GA in the Chik-Fil-A Bowl?
Could this be like a weasel in your hen house, or their way of thinking is they out foxed you?

Well he dicked that up...

I can confirm this much. There are two SEC officials in the booth. One the replay official and one called the communicator. The communicator is also responsible for evaluating a crew's performance.

So we were basically the lamb In all of this. We had to get screwed in order to "seal the deal" on there little Fla Bama rematch. I wonder how many people were in on it.

It actually turns out that Gerald Hodges was in fact the replay official...
However, Dick Burleson was the REPLAY SUPERVISOR for the Alabama vs. LSU game. He was in the instant replay booth, and has the ability to give "advice" about calls involving instant replay.
Dick Burleson also happens to be the man responsible for EVALUATING OFFICIALS PERFORMANCE reviews after the game.
This is the same man that in 1982 threw a holding flag on Auburn in the Florida game, which called back a 83 yard TD which would have sealed the victory. Also in that game, there was a botched on-side kick call where Auburn's player recovered the on-side kick, handed the Burleson the ball, and the official signaled 1st and 10 for Florida.
The same man that wrote a book about his time as an official that was named after something Bear Bryant said to him during a game... "You Better Be Right".
thx for the info. One more reason to move the SEC office OUT of the state of AL.

let me see now; there are 2 "two" goof balls (probaly half drunk) in that archaic replay booth, 7 "seven' (like the & dwarfs), the dunkin doughnut type officials are on the field of play, Mal Moore, Nicki $aboni, and I don't how many they have in their "Pink Pachyderm Club?" So you tell me?
Oh here is a picture of those officials:

Sounds like a guy who would be involved in a conspiracy.

are we to now believe that BOTH replay officials were from 'Bama ??? Can this be confirmed? I'd be willing to contribute to a fund to hire PI's to verify this if the SEC keeps stonewalling us with the info.

No. One went to GT, and the other is from Tennessee.

Hmmmmmmm not only is Alabama paying Nick Saban and their players...they are also paying officials!"
Can you link me to any Bama club meetings he's spoke at before?

Well, the Gen. was born in Alabama. However, between his birth and his present legal residence in Hoover, he spent time all over the country as a staff officer. You know, rising to the highest rank in the reserves while..I guess..getting involved in a grand conspiracy to screw LSU.
The actual replay official is not an Alabama graduate, and he lives in Tennessee.
