Framing Pitches

Do you think catchers would get more calls if instead of trying to bring every pitch back to the very middle of the plate, they would move just a couple of inches and not 5 or 6?
I feel like if I was an ump, I'd be more inclined to call a close pitch a strike if the catcher would keep his glove closer to the target and minimize movement.
