This pisses me off more than anything to look at the box score and see a team missing foul shots.

Then you look at the score of the game, and the amount of points they lose by and usually they have missed double the margin of their loss.

These are 18-21 year dudes, that have played a game all their life with the goal to put a ball through a hoop. Then you allow them stand and shoot uncontested and they cant do it????

Can't shoot foul shots with 90-95% you don't play.

Then you’d have JJ redick and mark price playing against each other. FTs weren’t the issue tonight

We were 76% from the line which is very good for a college team, but we were 19% from 3 which is horrible for any team. However, our coach still managed to allow the team to shot 26 3's. That is why we lost OT free throw shooting

They came into the game shooting 73 percent that’s not bad for a college basketball team and I don’t think I saw them miss an engregious amount of foul shots tonight.

Go look through the history of basketball and let me know how many 90-95 percent free throw shooting teams they had. I’m betting that’s a pretty short list if it exist at all.

and the losing team will miss more than than the margin of defeat, but that's ok because we shoot 66% as a team and that good considering past stats.

LSU shot 73 percent as a team coming in shot 76 as a team tonight. That’s not bad numbers for a college basketball team. You can go through a lot of games and the number of missed free throws will be greater than the margin of victory.

Again, that's my point, They should hit up close to 90% or not play alot of minutes.

Your kid takes a 6th grade science test and comes home with a 62- 73%?

Or you celebrating or busting that arse?

Then you would not have anybody playing. Do you not get that? There are only a handful of humans in this world that can make 90 percent of their free throws. Currently in the NBA there Is one guy shooting 90 percent and only 12 guys shooting at least 80 percent. Are you saying that only 13 guys should be playing in the NBA right now.

I'm saying any team that hits the FT will win more. To accept 60-70% as Great is bullshite. It's fricking FREE THROW. not a 73% throw.

LSU has lost 2 games this year because they couldn't convert at a better percentage.

You never played basketball? We didnt lose because of free throws. If shooting under 90% is unacceptable then you might as well shitcan the whole sport. We lost because we get murdered on the boards on the defensive side of the court. I promise you, that is hurting us a lot more then free throws.

You don’t need to play basketball to know that hit your foul shots you win big majority of your games. Yes we did lose tonight because of missed foul shots, if we hit those we missed we would have more points?

But thats ok if you accept 70% as the best we can do! and at the end of the season don’t be pissed when we win 70% of our games.

Again everyone is accepting a failing percentage as OK. We should demand a better % it’s a FREE THROW

Half of the teams in the NBA are currently shooting under 76% free throw percentage. Not keeping teams from grabbing offensive rebounds and not making a bucket for 10 minutes is what loses games

Free throws were far from the problem tonight.

Also very few people shoot 90+%...

It takes a very special touch to be able to do that

then there would not be a Basketball League ... and of course, you would have placed Shaquille on the bench.

LSU shoots about 72 % not a great %, but most very very good FT teams hover around 78%-80%

Yes, it needs improving but your % are waaaay out of line.

Holy
shite

The greatest NBA free through shooter shot 90.43%. Reggie Miller and Ray ALLEN didn’t even break 90%.

Do you understand how stupid you sound?
