giving up football at Troy. As a former tiger, wish him well!

Troy defensive tackle Sidell Corley is giving up football due to medical issues, head coach Larry Blakeney confirmed Wednesday.

Corley, who transferred to Troy from LSU before the 2009 season, was expected to be a key factor in the playing rotation this season as a senior.

Sidell and Phelon were busts. That was a big deal when Les pulled those two out of Bamaland.

That sucks, but best of luck to him. I definitely thought he was going to be a good one for us!

It's weird because when LSU and Bama steal guys out of the others backyard...it usually amounts to nothing. But it's such a huge story when it happens.

Keeps the pipeline open and a presence in that state though. Luther Davis didn't do much. Still waiting to see if Kenny Bell contributes. Hopefully Wiliford or Rivers will break the recent trend.

I still think Sam Gibson will be a contributor. He seems like a good kid and a good athlete.

That's sad. Another kid who dedicates his youth to playing collegiate football and gets cut down by injuries.

I remember Miles making a huge deal on getting these two and boosting it big time on the annual recruiting day. Nick Saban has bitch slapped him in recruitting Alabama after these two bust

I wonder about his progress. I loved him as part of that class. But our safeties are so good right now, it might be another year before he gets significant PT. I look for him to contribute on special teams this year though.
