Tell me you know nothing about baseball without saying it...worst hitting catchers, probably...defensively? Absolutely not.

Maldonado behind the plate is invaluable. Would it be nice to get him to .200? Sure. He still affects the game in so many different ways.

Papierski was hitting .200 in AAA so he wasn't exactly setting the world on fire at the plate either.

I remember a young Papierski that was having the same struggles until he broke out offensively his last year. Always a stud behind the plate, finally got the bat going.
