So you're telling me that going from a decent offense that put points on the board, albeit with turnovers, is the same thing as an anemic offense that can't put points on the board?

So you're telling me that replacing Lee with JJ is the ONLY difference between this year and last year, and that re-inserting Lee would put us right back where we were last year?

In case you haven't noticed, our OL and running game are nowhere near as good as they were last year. In this situation, Lee would struggle IMO.

No, I'm not. But Lee demonstrated that he can get the ball to our receivers and not take sacks. He has earned a chance to show that he won't throw picks. I don't expect it to be just like last year, who would?

The running game is struggling because they know we won't throw. Putting in a guy that is known for throwing too much will open the run.

The fact that Lee has only played 2 official plays all year is just plain wrong, especially with the offensive woes. What's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome.

The running game hasn't looked good since week 1.

He isn't known for throwing too much. He's known for throwing pick sixes. How you think a guy who locked onto receivers and panicked against a pass rush will improve this O is just a mystery to me.

I simply don't think JJ has done anything to deserve to be benched. He isn't the problem with our O. He's done the best he could with a shitty gameplan for 6 games. Give him a good gameplan the way we did in the Peach Bowl, and he is a playmaker.

I'm hoping that the bye week will give the coaches time to do that.

I'll go out on a limb and say that the difference between a pick and a pick-6 has something to do with where the pass is picked off and how lucky the return man is or how unlucky the offense now trying to tackle is.

Lee may fairly deserve half of the pick-6's.

I wouldn't mind seeing Lee in just because SOMETHING has to change. Last year he was put in a position to succeed, but also take chances and fail. This season, Jefferson is put in a position to fail in other ways through not taking chances.

It's like having an older daughter that ends up a little too wild, so the next one is raised a little too close to the vest. There's a happy medium somewhere.

If the coaches can change, I'm all for starting there first.

FWIW i have a few friends in classes with a couple of the offensive starters and they were all verbally wondering why #10 didn't play Saturday night...
