I'm on board with Alleva being bought out, he's obviously mismanaged basketball as well as the fiasco with hiring O amidst all the controversy when Jimbo and Herman's names were being thrown around.

LSU always seems to play close games against Florida, Arkansas, and Ole Miss, regardless of talent on both sides. With UF being inconsistent and with the past factored in, don't count us out yet...

LSU also always seems to beat Miss St and nonconference home opponents.

Whatever past you are factoring in, that doesn't apply anymore. We're not Les Miles' LSU, nor are we Saban's LSU.

We're now Orgeron's LSU, which is, thus far, capable of being blown out by a bad MSU, and losing at home to a Sun Belt team. These weren't one-time-only events, either. Offense looked weak and lacked a push against BYU, who didn't put any effort into stopping the run. Defense had trouble getting off the field against UT Chatanooga, and was absolutely abused by a bad Syracuse team; that same Syracuse team dominated our offensive line. Take away the early INT and TD, and we might be looking at a 3 game losing streak.
We haven't really seen a good all around game yet.

Future SEC opponents don't give me a lot of optimism. I suspect Florida can beat Miss St.

Where do you think we fare against the Vols? My fiancé and I are making the drive for that game.

Can't say for sure that far in advance, but UT has at least shown some signs of life against competition this season. although they have also shown regression.
I never pick against LSU but if I had to "guess" a winner today it would be UT.
