Whoever said the schedule Russell played was much harder was wrong, we played 5 nationaly ranked teams in 06 and 7 in 07 so they schedule is pretty much a wash if not easier in 06. Russell and Flynn both contributed to their deficits in come from behind victories but both have really good ones and JR started twice as many games so I would expect him to have more. I was at both of their last games and both were one fire JR probably played a little better but both were MVPs.

06 was probably the hardest schedule in NCAA history.
We played 4 top 8 teams all on the road, only 1 other team in history has done that.
+ LSU actually lost to great teams in 2006, not terrible teams like 2007

Russell 05 beat ASU on the road, Bama on the road, UFat home, and could have won us the SEC if he hadn't got hurt.
Did you watch the 05 SEC Championship? I was there, JR played most of the game and we never had a chance. The game was over before he came out. It was combination of bad calls and a better UGA team besides the Tenn game of 05 it was the most dissapointed I ever was leaving a LSU game.

the one where JR got hurt?
and the LSU defense gave up 30+ plus points?

Please show me games that were tougher than:
@ National champ UF
@ top 10 AU, who beat UF
@ top 10 Ark, who won the West
@ top 10 Tenn

Did I say it was his fault? He didn't play great, but I simply said we didn't lose because he got hurt. The game was out of hand before he got hurt. UGA was just better.

didn't we have 5 starters out that game?

I'm not saying they weren't tough, every season in the SEC is tough but give credit where credit was due we played 4 top 25 teams in a row in 07 and also played top 10 Va tech team that ended up being in the National Title hunt in end of the season. Oh yeah and the #1 team for the national title.

i want to say we had 1 or 2 offensive lineman missing as well. We only ran for 2 ypc that game
I remember a long pass play being called back for holding that took us completely out the game. That trip made me hate UGA fans.

Sure did, the game was over by then but yeah. Won MVP the next couple weeks too.

I don't remember how they finished the season but UGA must have been pretty good on both sides of the ball. Remember who they played in the Sugar Bowl?
