JR is black and didn't have what it took between his ears. he thought his arm could get him out of trouble every time. flynn is white and was much smarter than JR. JR had more skills, Flynn had the brains, and brains won a championship! imo

Really? Fisher/Saban pulled Randall & put in Russell against Oregon St. when Randall was struggling = win. Later that year Russell starts at Florida, throws 2 pics early, LSU down 14-0. In comes Randall for a comeback win. How many pic 6's Lee was gonna throw before Crowton/Miles made a change? When did Crowton/Miles ever changed out a QB because he was ineffective?

don't you realize, that however many times you prove robbobb wrong, he just says something else ignorant.

he has a agenda, and it's plain to see.

Or that Flynn did nothing to get LSU into the National Championship Game.

bullshite. Look, I would take Jamarcus all day, every day, but to completely discount Flynn's contribution to the NC is equally retarded. Dude played his balls off in 4th quarters that year. He wasn't Jamarcus-good, but he was clearly a good college quarterback.

These arguments suck so fricking bad because it's almost impossible to defend one without attacking the other.

I dont care who was the best QB, I just get tired of hearing about the int. Flynn threw to lose the game against Arky. The defense gave up 50 frickin pts!!! how is that Flynns fault?

Why is everything race with you? Why can't someone disagree with you without it being race. Some people just prefer a different type of player why is this so hard to understand? I like Lafell better than Byrd does that have any race related agenda?

And when you throw in that the QB was the sole reason for the two offensive losses (ints, fumbles, sacks, poor clock management, throwing to the 5 yd line as time runs out) which cost us the SEC and BCS games, I'm gonna stick with FLYNN being the better QB FOR LSU

This debate is a good measuring stick on determining whether someone is functionally braindead.

For you and several on this thread it certainly does. Unless somebody flat out said they preferred white guy or made some color remark, then you can say that. Maybe some of these guys you know who are racists, I don't know, but it amazes me how the JR defenders are so quick to play the racism card. That is just being judgmental.

I prefer Flynn and Mauck over JR so sue me. I hated Booty, Wickersham, and Howard and much prefer JR over those wingnuts. The last 5 or 6 games of JR's career were quite good, if not some of the best ever.

For a QB, I would rather a manager than a star, but if the star could manage too then I prefer that.

JR often found open receivers late and the Auby game where he stayed in bounds then threw short was total stupidity and can't be excused. I remember Saban was bewildered by JR when he couldn't understand how a guy could look soo good in practice, but threw the ball 5 yds short of a receiver in games.

This is a darn opinion thread, but JR lovers don't like some of the answers and immediately start name-calling right away.

Thank me later for prolonging this thread.

This shows me that you, much like my wife and mother, know very little about the game of football and are incapable of following anything except the ball during a play.

I don't think everyone who thinks Flynn is a better QB than Russell are racist. Some are just simply retarded.

Dang, Doc! I just explained it in my previous post. What JR did in the Auby game was total stupidity that I don't think I have ever seen before.

Saban was bewildered by him. JR took bad sacks and fumbled, it seemed, like alot when he scrambled and he threw late to wide open receivers. (I wish I had video of it, it's what our tailgate party goers remember).

JR was the most talented QB ever to put on the uniform imo, but Jones might disagree.

I could care less about race or what state they are from.

Fwiw, I liked Tyler and Davie and for some reason I like Tyler better than Davie. I thought he played smarter for most of his career. Davie was a late bloomer, but was great when he caught on.

I think he just stated why he called him dumb. The mistakes he made and the comments he quoted from Saban. I think you are reading into it too much, I don't think he is saying JR can't read well just more along witht he great plays he made some really "dumb" ones but didn't he score pretty low on the test they give you right before the draft?

Its hard to say which state I hate more Texas or Alabama. Texans can be hard to deal with at times.

so we're basing dumb off mistakes now?

isn't it weird how flynn threw more interceptions?

a INT is still a mistake right?

I believe he scored a 24 or 25. and flynn scored a 27 or something.

Exhibit A from JR lovers who can't refute what a dumb couple of plays he made at the end of the game. The inbound scramble was the worst.

AM enlighten me with your brilliance.

I used to like you too.
