i'd take tebow, of course, because he almost singlehandedly beat us. guys a serious stud.

flynn is great when he's on. had a bad run during the bama game for sure. he'll get back on track.

there's a month break before the NC game after the SEC Championship. that kind of time LSU will be healthy and sharp. look at his performance in the bowl vs. Miami.

he's our guy this year. let's support him and the 'what ifs' are useless.

Your point about OSU is completely moronic. Who has OSU played that is any good.

Penn State...SUCKS
Akron....BLOWS
The Big 10 as a whole...frickING SUCKS

Is there any other SEC QB with eight wins and a chance to lead a team to a MNC? Please tell me if I've overlooked one.

I ahve always thought that when people said that LES has to win the SEC or the NC was silly. Partly because of Flynn. His lack of real gameday experience in front of fans and opposing team and the spotlight was a major liability. That is not his fault.

THat being said Flynn

(1) Has Skill

(2) Has 4 years of practice against some of LOuisiana best players

(3) Was Coaches by Saban And Staff

(4) Was Coached By Miles and Staff

(5) was coached by Jimbo which is part of the above 2

(6) He has what I call a Institional LSU memory that RP does not have. He knows the team, he knows the tough times, he knows the good times. He has been prepared for years to go in of JR went down.

(7) Related to 6 is where his leadership skills come in. Whole Forest have been decimated on newsprint that talks about it

(8) FLynn looks good and acts good on tv and the media. He comes off as a team player and that helps the program in many ways. It helps LSU as a whole and he gives a good PR stance to the voters. You want to like Flynn and that helps. It is one of the many "intangibles"

(9) Flynn stays out of trouble

(10) Flynn has a great knack of shaking off his mistakes even the biggies and not letting that complicate his further play. Last night was example number 1

(11) It appears the players are used to him. Things like familarity of his rythmn and even cadence of voice is important. One of those millon of intangibles

Would FLynn be better if he played more last year. Sure!!! However it appears he is the man to be the starter. He is what he is which is a work in progress. QB are made through game experience. THey don't come down from heaven all wrapped up to lead teams to Championships

So we were just a well off with Early hurt? I mean the backups are starting now?

So you are saying the Mitchells and Lafell are equal to Bowe, Davis, and Doucet? That must be what you mean.

but osu is bcs #1. Must mean something because people are raving about us being #2 BCS.

Again I want to reiterate I NEVER said Flynn was a bad QB. That is not the issue. I just believe that there are 6qbs that are equal if not better than him.

I don't think they'd do near as good if they had to rely on Lafell and J. Mitchell and the other young WR's we had when Doucet was out.

Flynn makes mistakes. They'd make mistakes if they were here.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side.

The bottomline is this: If you think we'd be undefeated with RP at QB, you need to check yourself

Was Matt Mauck a good QB? The concensus is yes, but he had his bad moments like Flynn. The question is would he be as highly regarded had he not won a MNC.

how so...??? I believe if RP had been given game time from the start of the season we would perform as good if not better than with flynn at the helm.

How do you know this ? What has he done on and off the field to make you believe he can lead this team now? Not being at practice, I don't think you can. You have an opinion, which I think you are wrong(my opinion), but RP has done nothing on the field to bring you to this opinion.

You are right I'd probably take Flynn sixth in the entire NCAA

1. Woodson
2. Dixon
3. Tebow
4. Brennen
5. White
6. Flynn
7. Brohm

Get after it!

id say Mauck adequate. There were some that are better.

But cant complain with the results.

ANyway if LSU wins the NC than this point is moot.

Why do people always compare Flynn to Mauck? They're totally different quarterbacks.

OSU is only No. 1 in the BCS because they haven't played anyone that is any good and thus haven't lost. If LSU played that schedule, you would be saying how great MF is.

Flynn is no where near as good as the qbs from Oklahoma, TT, and Missouri.
