We can't jump Texas without jumping Alabama. That's the real difference maker. Maybe we jump Alabama, but to what end?

Bama gained more 1st place votes than Texas....LSU would receive most of Florida's with Bama.

I can't see LSU winning by anything more than 3-7 points and that will take a better effort than anything LSU has shown all year thus far. Our offense is struggling right now and our defense is having trouble getting to the QB. Couple the fact that Florida is coming off a bye week with all the pitiful fans texting their players and we are going to see a very focused determined Florida team. They also are likely going to rally with Tebow possibly not playing or playing in a limited status. LSU has some advantages, namely our WR corps if they can get the ball enough in position to make plays, the home crowd, and a night game. It will take some breaks to go in favor of LSU to keep this game close, much less win it. There is absolutely no way we beat this Florida team by 21 points based on what I've seen so far this year.

I just don't see how we get the votes to jump Texas or Alabama considering our season thus far and the Tebow situation.

Well....Obviously voters see the SEC as the best ever or they would have not voted Bama over Texas as #1.
