Florida Passing Defense is Suspect

Florida is ranked Tops of the SEC in Passing Defense @ 140ypg (#2 Nationally just behind Miami)
They have played
Miss St #82/214ypgOverall Passing Offense (which is also #124 in passing efficiency)
Kentucky #104/182ypg
Tenn #117/153ypg
The 3 passing yards from Charleston Southern really skewed their average.(174 ypg given up outside of that game)
Only decent passing team they have played was 1-4 Colorado St(w/320ypg passing) who put up 240 passing yards. Colorado St is very one dimensional being ranked #124 in Rushing Offense.
With Florida's Poor Linebacker play (their top 3 Linebackers have 70 tackles combined) they will probably sell out to stop the run and play man coverage...could spell bad new for Florida and big yards for Burrow.
For Refernces D White has 44 Tackles and J Phillip's has 37
Basically I feel If LSU has most of its Oline back, rushes for 150 yards and take care of the ball they will leave The Swamp with another W. Just my opinion....

Just noticed they are #85 giving up 171ypg rushing... Going to be a long hot day for the Gators.

The stats look similar until you take away that Charleston Southern game. Then, stats being what they are....change completely. I think you're right.
Spread. Power I, Play Action, wear them down and then light them up, make them run their cleats off, gas them in the heat and win the game.

And the Rams one win was against our inbred hillbilly neighbors in AR-Kansas.

I pray our guys show up wanting to make a statement . They’ve been constantly disrespected . Come out punch them in the fricking mouth and crush their throat .

I would spread the field, get them running and gassed early, we have PLENTY of rotation in skilled positions

Wasn’t Florida missing two key defenders? If I’m not mistaken, a great pass rusher and a stud linebacker.

Great post OP.
If we show up and play our A game and continue to protect the ball we will be just fine.

stats are often misleading in team sports. while a stat is a fact, it just doesn't tell the whole story. and, at this time of the year, past performance is not really a quality indicator of future performance. there are just too many variables at work that greatly diminish their value.
look at us, we've played a much tougher schedule and we started the season with a brand new QB, new RB's, WR's and a patched up OL. add to that Florida hasn't played a defense like us yet.
throw out all past stats for this game. this is LSU/FLORIDA. this game will be won mano a mano just like it always is.
