I mean, he's thrown one INT and is completing passes at an average of 15 yards per completion. His rating is higher than Sam Darnold, and roughly the same as Josh Rosen this year. I believe when the updated ratings come out he'll be second in the SEC...

He's coming off of back to back weeks with dropped pick-6s. That isn't really debatable. Point being, if either of those passes are intercepted, we're not having good conversations about his play.

I find Etling to be a pretty frustrating QB because he has shown glimpses of more ability, but his consistency is rough. I fully believe our offensive scheme is holding him back, as he's been very good out of the shotgun this year. I'm not anti-Etling, but I'm convinced he's no more than average in our base scheme, and that's frustrating.

Objective is in the eye of the beholder. Which one of the Etling runs during the UF game did you hate? Was it the 1st down for 15 yards. I was going to do Auburn also but the UF game should be enough for objective picture for how Etling has been an effective runner for LSU.

The OP was made after a game in which Etling had 2 rushes, one a scramble and one a designed run, for a total of 6 yards. It is obvious the OP believes the Auburn game shows Etling is improving as a runner, but the actual on-field performance yesterday says otherwise.

Run game? More like running for his life on every play

Stats don't bear that out.

He's got little run support, offensive line has struggled and he's played admirably. I certainly think he's a "good" quarterback.

Jesus Christ, you have incredibly unreal expectations.

Actually, you have incredibly low expectations

He's not a great QB, he's a good QB.

He's not good. He averages 1 TD a game with 5 of them coming against Chattanooga, Troy and Syracuse. He holds onto the ball too long, waiting til his receivers are wide open. He runs with even a hint of pressure. By God's grace or extremely great luck, Chark coming back and fighting for passes along with terrible handed DBs have kept him from having no less than 6 ints on the season.

He hinders what Canada can do with the offense. I saw his offense with NCst and Pittsburgh, and in year one they both put our performances to shame. That's because they had actual good QBs with at least above average arm strength.

Stats say you're a crappy analyst of talent, so I'll not worry too much about it.

You were the big Jordon Jefferson fan back in the day too.
