Draft eligible soph for baseball

Did they play enough of soph year to be draft eligible?

It’s an age restriction not years played restriction.

My biggest question are guys like Cabrera and Garza. Do thus lose their junior year? They’ll lose all leverage if they’re forced to be seniors.

I posted this on the recruiting board but I’ll post again. It’s going to be interesting to see what juniors (2 years of eligibility) and sophomores (3 years of eligibility) want to do based off of where they get drafted. They’ll essentially have a mulligan year to play with if teams don’t meet their negotiations.

Because of this it may drive more high schoolers to be signed in rounds 1-10 who may have road blocks Into starting positions that wouldn’t have been there.

Either way some teams will be very lucky and some teams very unlucky with how this plays out.
