People just seem ignorant when they use the "we are young argument". Most of the great teams in the country are young. It's college basketball, there is no such thing as rebuilding when it's a freshmans game nowadays.
It's not like football where you have to build depth to be good. You either need a great x's and o's coach which we do not have, or a stud freshman which we do not have.
It is what it is with Trent, but he is not the coach of the future here. I am pretty sure everyone sees it but just don't want to jump the gun.
All the people who say they support TJ would change their tune quick if they knew we could land a better coach at this moment.

You bring two studs in and have a decent supporting cast you will at least make the tournament, but people think this is football and somehow 5 years is needed.

he came by my fraternity and talked to us. He seems like a really nice guy and if i remember correctly he had success at Stanford. I say give him next year and if we dont make the tourney fire him. But we made a huge improvement this year. Just because Oregon killed us in the NIT (Not Important Tournament) doesnt mean we havent gotten a shite ton better. We have all of our starters returning so we can only get better

The typical LSU fan/student: fat, drunk and dumb

I support TJ.
I think TJ has the program headed in the right direction. Look how long it took Dale Brown to turn the program around in the 70's. If we listened to the fans back then, we would've never had the success we had in the 1980's.

They're the same bunch that supported and defended Archer, Hallman, DiNardo, Dale at the end and Brady. That's what the mediocrity accepting "Defenders of the Faith" do. They're all Enemies of the State IMO.
Yup. And there will always be "that crowd" too.
Their argument is that LSU fans are spoiled and ridiculous and that LSU has never been and will never be one of the elite teams in basketball.
We heard that same argument in football during the whole decade of the 80's. I can't tell you how many times I heard that LSU's glory years were the 50's, and that I needed to get over that.
And then Nick Saban happened, and now Les Miles.
You lucky bastard. I love Seaside!

This is comical!
Look, TJ needs to revamp the coaching staff and get a Louisiana guy in here to help out w/ recruiting, but I like where the team is going. They're growing together, and we're getting guys that have a lot of potential. Hickey and O'Bryant will be way better and more confident next year, and with Morgan coming in, we'll have a shooter that will go along with a hopefully improved Turner. Hamilton needs to toughen up a little bit too.
Darrenbecker isn't and never was fast enough to play big time college basketball. He's a good role player as talented as he could've been on offense, his defense was turrible.
If we get the 2 Cali guys w/ Morgan and maybe even Hammink, everyone will get on the bandwagon. Unfortunately, LSU basketball gets good for a year or 2 and then we go through the same BS again.

If the program starts WINNING, attendance will go up, and all is well.
If the program does not WIN (IMPROVE) attendance will go down and neither Alleva or TJ will be able to hide.
Winning Cures all.
..so time will tell

Wrong Man, (TJ) wrong fit, lack of progress (record better because conference sucked this year) and no fan support...
What will Alleva do? Extend contract and give him a raise....

I’ve had season tickets since 1984. Started off in the nose bleeds and would request upgrades each year. In 2006 I was upgraded to midcourt, 1st row above what used to be the student section. Last year, after a 12-20 season, they chose to charge me a TAF fee of $500. That’s when the AD lost my support.
