I'm under the impression that the loss to Auburn didn't have to be. They've been putting up monster points and we held them to 24 and were within 7. You have to believe that with a good QB, we win that game and are sitting undefeated in the top spot

Auburn has averaged 40 ppg in 7 SEC games this season. 42 ppg excluding the 24 we allowed.

Thats seemingly about as close to shutting down Auburn as a team can do this year and we lost it.

By comparison, Auburn gives up 28 ppg in SEC play. 30 ppg in the 6 SEC games outside of LSU. We scored 17

Its hard to play the what if game but if we match their average OPPG theres 30-24.

Thats why Crowton has got to go. Its up to him to develop QBs and put together a plan that works. He hasn't done that since 2007. His offense is directly responsible for the difference between LSU sitting pretty for a NC berth or just a BCS game.

I say no. Fairley was living in the backfield. I think it would have gone into OT though, but our D was done come 4th quarter.

JL had 1 good drive that game.

No QB would have survived that game. Fairley was in the backfield on damn near every play. We would have won if we had left Jefferson in the game... his elusiveness would have at least picked up 3-4 yards on a broken play rather than Lee having to throw it away or take a sack.

But the biggest problem was piss-poor tackling on defense. Scheme was good, players were in position, but they simply didn't wrap up and lost containment on FAR too many plays.

LM taking his foot off of GC's throat and we win games big when were supposed to and we beat Auburn. Like what happened in the 2nd half against Bama. Miles needs to learn that big 10 offense has no place in the SEC.

Right. Our offense looks exactly like a Big 10 offense.

The only reason we did not get blown out in that game by 3 TDs was the field position that Au had due to our kicking game.

If AU had started at .midfield in most of the possessions, it would never have been that close of a score

Spoken like someone who has considered absolutely nothing except post-game comments from Jefferson stating that Crowton told him he was going to open up the offense for him.

No, spoken like someone who can tell the difference between LM and GC play calling. Not saying GC is perfect but he gives the offense a better shot at winning when he has total control to do his job.

lol... you really have no idea do you??? You think LM designed those plays?? Of course it's your OC telling the HC what plays should be run. THAT'S THEIR JOB!!!!!

Pretty sure it's the head coach that tells the offensive coordinator if he wants to go for it on 4th down.

The unknown factor is in how any such QB is coached. If he is coached like JJ and JL have been coached, the results aren't going to be all that different. Remember, both these guys at LSU came out of HS as big talents. Coaching.
