I have kept score at little league games and know how to do it very proficiently. However, you miss a lot of the game by having to write in the book. I am going to try this app for my son who plays at the college level. It might be more of a pain in the arse tough.

Great thing about Gamechanger is that if a team you are interested in uses it, you can log in and get play by play type updates. I know our local high school uses it and I've followed parts of a couple of games on line through it. It's not quite as "real time" as following college football or pro soccer games online but pretty close.
