I mean, you guys are the only ones who have really done much on a huge scale nationally. Are you really proud that teams like vandy and msu and alabama act like they are on par with you?

I had an ole miss fan tell me at disney world that ohio state wouldnt get 3 wins in the sec.

If it weren't for the other teams in our conference being as strong as they are, we wouldn't get the respect we do nationally. It's precisely because the SEC isn't a two-horse show that we get the respect we do as a conference.

And it's not as if the rest of the conference has been irrelevant nationally. Georgia has two #2 finishes in the last six years, the conference as a whole has won 11 BCS bowl games in 10 years, with LSU and Florida only being responsible for a portion of those. Georgia has won two BCS bowls in the last six years, Auburn has won one, Tennessee won one in 1998 (along with a national championship), and many of our teams have won other bowls and had top 25 finishes.

There are six programs in the SEC who can realistically win the conference championship in any given year: Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Auburn and Alabama. In addition to that, Arkansas has made three appearances in the SEC championship game (including two in the past six seasons) and Mississippi State has made one. Ole Miss came within a whisker of it in 2003. South Carolina has come somewhat close a couple of times.

That said, Ohio State would obviously get more than three wins in the SEC. Ohio State would join the six programs listed above who regularly contend for, and sometimes win, the SEC championship.

I pull for the SEC b/c it makes LSU look better.

why would i want georgia to lose to hawaii or ASU, that's embarrassing not only for them but for the teams in the SEC that said beating UGA was a good win.
as funny as it is for Bama to lose to ULM, that's an embarrassment to the conference and to teams that may have lost to BAMA in the conference. I am glad it happened to them sort of, but i don't want that to ever happen to any SEC team. MSU losing to LA Tech is an embarrassment

Ohio State keeps winning the Big 10 but gets the shite kicked out of them by other OOC powerhouses. it makes everyone else look bad, which is why PSU would be left out if them Texas and Bama would win out, even if PSU won every game by 30 and the other two coasted their way to an undefeated season.

If you like just your team, then you should like the teams you play, to have the best possible record and look the best when you are about to play them. Not that you match up with Florida, but it makes OSU look even worse after they struggle to beat Michigan and then Michigan goes get the shite kicked out of them by Florida.
You should be proud they beat them, it makes michigan looks better, which makes OSU look better for beating them.

1) congrats, winning on one of the worst calls in the history of college football would give me a warm feeling in the nads too

2) in that same vein, bama supposedly has "12" NC's, so obviously they have done something nationally.

3)what have you done lately?

I'll answer that one, get blown out time after time in the big games.

For me it all started when Auburn was passed over for a spot in the national championship game, despite going undefeated in the SEC. That really stuck in my craw. For that reason, I don't want anyone forgetting which conference is the best.

Most SEC fans realize that the stronger the conference looks the better bowl games your team will get at the end of it all. LSU running the table would likely get them back in the national title race, probably wouldn't be the case if we were in the Big 10 and lost by 30 to Florida. The other teams doing well makes everyone look good. The reason OSU is getting dissed so much is because of everyone's perception that the Big 10 is shite right now.

The Pac-10 and Big 12 were both rated as stronger conferences than the SEC in 2004, the year that the undefeated Pac-10 and Big 12 champions played in the BCS title game, and the undefeated SEC champion, Auburn, did not.

your an idiot. The SEC prepared them for the cakewalk that was THE Ohio State...u know maybe if the Yuckeyes didnt play cupcakes all year they may be able to compete

Cupcakes? Look at your SOS vs other BCS schools...pathetic. One service in the BCS formula scored LSU a 1 out of 25. Are you kidding me? You need to schedule somebody OOC that's worth a shite.

The thing Ohio St needs to be asking itself is, why can't we beat those guys?

We took your best shot and then gave you a skull dragging. It's hard to do that to an SEC team even if they are Vandy. Other than Moo St we dominated VT and you guys. GO play a weak scedule and pray an SEC team isn't waiting for you at the end.

The problem is that the only SEC teams that really look good are Ala and FL. Preseason top 10 Auburn looks like a bottom feeder now, and LSU is still trying to find itself.

Speaking as a Florida fan, I'm always really happy when most SEC teams do well, it makes us look better when we beat them. I always root for Kentucky and Vandy when it doesn't hurt the Gators, because I love an underdog. I root for South Carolina when I can because I still love the Head Ball Coach/Darth Visor, whatever you want to call him. (I know I know, unpopular sentiment. But how can you not love a man who actually says things like "Free Shoes University" and "You can't spell 'Citrus' without 'UT'"?!)

I mean it is hard rooting for teams that I hate, like Auburn, Georgia, etc, but their wins make the Gators better by SEC association.

And I definitely can't speak for everyone, but (I'm assuming) LSU fans appreciated the SEC support last season versus Ohio State. I know I appreciated it when the Gators played the Buckeyes.
