Desperation

I’ve been closely following this board for many years now, and finally the last straw has broken our camel’s(LSU’s) back.

We have become desperate for success. Since the turn of the century, LSU has been arguably one of the top 5 programs in the country with exception to the last few years which we fell to mediocrity. And we fell hard.

The state of our program has declined rapidly. The shine has worn off. When LSU wins games down, do you truly feel satisfied? The answer should be no. Our wins are irrelevant, because none of the wins are marquee wins. The best win in the last three years came to an Auburn team this year that completely imploded.

The losses have become the same way. during game time it’s frustrating to watch the incompetence. Especially as the year ends and you watch ‘most’ teams trend upwrd, where it always seems like LSU is an after thought people use in arguments for other teams.

Don’t be fooled. Whether you like CEO or not, everyone around this conference laughs at us. Not because anything our Fuhrer does is comical, but the exact opposite. What he does is embarrassing and detrimental to our program, whether it’s his fault or not.

To me, it’s not that LSU ended up where it is, which isn’t a good thing. It was how we got here. You don’t win every game. However, when you lose, you don’t roll over and just take it.

That’s what did me in for the time being. The administration has simply rolled over. There is no ‘tanking’ in college. LSU tanked. Mailed it in. Call us in 10 years when we would like to make another run at it.


All that being said. I still love LSU. Hell I piss gold. Not sure that as anything to do with LSU, but I do it.
