In 2019 Orgeron signed 5 defensive backs. That is the right number to average in a class, imo, because we generally play with five DBs. But in 2020 we signed only three, and this class has only two so far. But get this: in 2018 we signed one! One!

This is why we can't stop the pass. Miles used to oversign DBs, probably because that was the talent that was most available in Louisiana. And this is why LSU gained the reputation of being DBU. Orgeron seems to have deemphasized DBs so that he can sign more linemen. I believe this needed to happen, because Miles had some low depth Dlines, but Orgeron has overdone it and needs to move back to recruiting five DBs each year. And it doesn't look like it's happening this year.

This times a gazillion.

The recruiting numbers being out of balance for more then 1 cycle is biting us in the arse now.

1 db in a class is beyond ridiculous.

3 is not even good.

It should be a minimum of 4 with most years being 5.

Even if you are trying to fix the numbers at another position you can not be short at the same position 2 years in a row. Jmo

This is where missing out on our top recruits are starting to show.

Missed on surtain
Joseph transfered
Vincent opted out.
Flott, ward, Jones Evans maybe good one day but they need to time to develop physically.
Flott looks like he weighs 150lbs out there.

Imagine if we would have stingley and surtain on the outside and Vincent in the slot.
