As a fan who went to Russell's high school games, he is most certainly a Quarterback.

Now, is he going to stand back there and pick you apart like Ryan Mallet. NO!

But that doesn't mean the stupid, ignorant, Miles-excuse makers should not realize that he is not being utilized.

Please explain to me why you run the Wildtiger without sending someone like Trindon in motion. We bascially run a dive play with an 188 lb true freshman. Real smart.

And no, the difference in our record is not because of trick plays. However, when you have a team that struggles to move the ball the simple zone read offense is really a good idea.

Throwing the ball once in awhile keeps the defense honest.

Watch the Texans/Titans game this past Monday night. This is a great example of playing to your talent.

SIMPLIFY...GARY CROWTON HAS WASTED HIS FRESHMAN SEASON

which both Shep and JJ have shown they can run. much like Lyle Hitt, I have no idea what's going on with our playcalling.

In case it's not painfully obvious why RS not throwing even one pass is significant just look at McCluster going into this game. No one believed he would throw the ball, even the announcers made mention of his ineptitude at passing. So the smarter coach took advantage of that belief and gave the kid a chance to make a play when an incompletion would not have hurt them anyway. We all saw the results. In at least three games, I expected to see a play like this used with RS, not at a critical point in the game but at a time when the risk/reward dictated it. So many wasted opportunities this season.

Exactly! I couldn't agree more. That is what made McFadden running the wildhog so devastating, it was Felix Jones in motion and the defense picking their poison. The dive play off the left side has no imagination and is not using plays to the advantage of your players.

Now a wildcat with CS on the dive play (Like Hillis), Trindon in motion (Like Jones) and RS faking to each (Like McFadden) would have really given the defense something to think about. Of course even McFadden was given the opportunity to throw the ball.

If Les has an ounce of sense and/or self-preservation, he will cut bait on Crowton VERY soon. If we drop Sat's game, I'd like to see him gone the next Monday; don't wait for the bowl. Things will only get MUCH worse for him if Les is seen as dithering or having to be pushed to make a change.

The answer is coaching.

I watch Katy HS Football. They are a consistently great program that very rarely has any elite athlets, yet they are one of the winningest programs in Texas over the past 15 years. Why? Coaching, pure and simple.
