Imagine what he would be playing like if he had taken first team reps through camp. He's playing from behind and still making better decisions. The errors will improve with time.

LSU coaches have to decide whether they want really good in a couple years or mediocre every year.

I still respect Les as a person, but his decision making on QBs is BAFFLING going all the way back to Jarrett Lee/Jordan Jefferson. From the outside, he strikes me as a guy too worried about making any decision that might divide the team. I GET IT: tough decisions are tough. But, that's part of the gig.

Les thinks he's a better QB than our QBs

He has much better pocket presence than Harris

That's not saying much. QB are taught MOFO "middle field open". Meaning against cover 2 or 4 the middle of the is "open", so check routes going there 1st. As the commentator pointed out during the game, he missed Dupre wide open down middle twicegoing into the end zone, but instead tried to force fade routes to covered WRs. Like his heart. Lacks polish

It has been said 100 times, but the safety was baiting Etling to throw it to Dupre

Dude every qb will fail under miles. Etling is still a better decision and playmaker than Harris. But Etling will still only look decent until miles is gone.

Bad read had nothing to do with miles.

His fumble and several other plays really hurt us and changed the course of the game

Whoopdi doo so what if he had a bad read. Every qb in college football makes a few bad plays a game and makes some bad throws. Etling is not perfect but neither is anybody else in the country. Etling is the better qb and that is a fact. I guess you think we need to go back to Harris because Etling wasn't perfect huh?

23 yards at the half, 100 for the game. Those are Harris numbers.

Sometimes it seemed like Etling, Fournette and Beckwith were the only two players who cared.
