Hess struggles after 4, CPM leaves him in for the 5th. Henry is cruising....gets yanked. this is routine for him. i don't get it.

Probably because you think you know baseball, but actually don't.

Ever heard of pitch count?

We're playing fewer innings this weekend. He probably wants to get certain guys work today.

And it let's henry go out on a good note.

Henry threw 43 pitches in his last outing at Texas

Today I think he was around 65 pitches before exiting

Just gradually stretching him out. He should be good fir 85 next outing, then 100 the following.

Now, as for Fridays, it’s becoming apparent Paul may need to go to an “Opener” strategy.

Hilliard for 2-3 then piece it together.

Back to Henry, he’s got traditional Friday night makeup.

Looks a lot like a Garrett Richards with the heavy fastball and ground ball outs — think he had 7 today including a DP

Last two outings: 7.1 IP, 11 groundouts, 5 Ks, 1 ER

Hess was a borderline ball 4 on a 3-2 count from giving you 6 innings of 1 run ball last night.

I have a way bigger problem taking Hilliard out after one inning.

Better watch what you say. The Tigerbait kid may call you names on the internet as he works through his mommy issues.
