That's my point about actually making it part of his routine during the season - not every day, but maybe Tuesdays and Thursdays (and Saturdays) - put his food in there and get him in the habit of eating, or at least going in there to get the food. Then, it will be no big deal when they close the gate, every now and then, and take him to the stadium.
