Big Props to Corey - six years in the program - five surgeries later -like a BOSS.

No question about it, he deserves major props for overcoming a lot in his time in BR.

I remember when he and Kwon came in as out of state guys together when we lost Collins to Bama. I always thought he should have been moved to LB sooner. Dude was a wrecking ball on kick coverage.

He could be our next one year wonder at LB that waited his turn after Kwon, Debo, and Duke.

CT will WRECK shite this year

It seems like every year we have an LB who we aren’t sure about who takes a big step forward and surprises everyone. Looks like it’s Thompson’s turn.

Just so we're clear here...

We knew that Minter, Kwon, Debo, Duke, and Thompson were all great athletes from the flashes of greatness they showed in their early years. What was truly astounding is how big the jump and impact they made their final season.

Good luck CT chasing your dream and carrying on the legacy of greatness that goes before you... GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Definitely. I’m not knocking any of these guys. They just hadn’t shown it fully on the field except on special teams until late in their careers. But all of them stepped up and delivered when it was their turn. Love seeing Thompson get his chance now.

Am I the only one who remember Thompson as a true Sophomore in 2013 starting 7 games (5 Conf Gm) at Safety before tearing his ACL in the A&M game. He would have been gone if not for the injuries, RS-2014, started injured in 2015, fall camp injury in 2016...

quote:

2013-Played in 10 games with five starts at the safety position ... Posted five tackles against Auburn which included a half tackle for a loss of eight yards when Auburn's punter dropped the ball and tried to get a punt away ... Earned his first career start at Mississippi State and tied for the team lead with a then career-high six tackles and three pass breakups ... Followed up with another then career-best of seven tackles versus Florida for the second straight week ... Racked up a career-high with eight tackles in his start at Alabama ... Registered three tackles versus Texas A&M ... Missed the final two games of the season due to a knee injury.

quote:

2015-Made starts at free safety at Alabama, at Ole Miss and vs. Texas A&M and played in nine games ... Tallied 15 tackles on the season ... Made three tackles in each game against Auburn, Western Kentucky, Alabama, Ole Miss and in the Texas Bowl against Texas Tech ... Contributor on special teams kick coverage.

rooting for this Texas Tigers to stay health he looked great on Saturday
