les miles didn't win the national championship .. the players won it .. only a small handful of which had even been recruited by miles at that time ... the players miles recruited are 17-9 over the last two seasons, 8-8 in the SEC and have only beaten one team that finished in the top 25 .. that being #25 Georgia Tech ..

Ahhhh....im suprised it took so long for this shite to come out.

The old Miles bashers mantra....blame Miles for everything, give him credit for nothing.

Im sure he wouldve stayed to coach the NC.

skip bertman had already told him "make up your mind and either get the frick out or commit to this program" .. hence the "have a nice day" press conference ..

i can't remember the site (now a paid one, and it's not the Lair), but i was blacklisted and given a "bad" rating for implying LSU would make a parking lot out of the box, as to make $$$$$. As opposed to LSU's future plans for a facility. This was a few years ago...
I'd sure like to hear from that MF that told me otherwise and basically kicked me off the site. Here's to you....

i thought it was basically common knowledge that the site of the old box was being eyeballed for future parking ??

If we go 8-4 or 7-5 this season, what excuse will Miles and his followers have? A seasoned QB, a veteran o-line, a defense with a competent leader. I'm sure he'll just keep firing coaches until he gets lucky and wins 10 games.

He held that press conference to answer the ESPN reports and because his players were freakin' out.

I see Sabanism at play here...and yes Les Miles won a National Championship as the HC at LSU as much as it pains you to believe that....

how do you equate ego with someone seeing the obvious .. that the peter principle is playing itself out on the LSU sidelines ?

A few down years and you are ready to throw in the towel?
The last few recruiting classes have given me hope that LSU will be on top again, until a few more years pass theres no way to know if this team can turn back to being the feared team they were a few years ago..

New coaches have been put in place and new recruits have LSU's future looking very bright.

I see a great future for LSU in the next several years, I am optmistic, I am a fan.

Go piss on someone else's parade.

but yet you won't give him credit for the 50+ wins, two SEC west titles, an SEC Championship, a NC, or unbelievable recruiting.

LSU had finally gotten healthy and played an overmatched Ohio State team that had gotten destroyed the year before by Florida for the title ... had LSU managed to reach that game after leslie left, bo pelini and the rest of the staff would probably had the same result ..
I would have never argued that point...
but its hypothetical.

Keeping Crowtown was a pretty savvy move for Miles in terms of job security in the future.

it is pretty simple math and facts .. count for yourself .. uh duh .. the signing class of 2005, which had already been recruited by the saban staff and nick handed les the blueprint to was basically nick's class .. that group were juniors and redshirt sophomores in 2007 ... all of the third and fourth year players on that team were saban recruits ... how hard is that ?

understate much ?? it is more than a few years down ... see the ole miss debacle ..

recruiting means nothing without coaching ... list the players recruited by this staff that have clearly improved under this staff ..

so in order to be a fan, you have to be eternally optimistic .. OK ..

No...but the feeling here is that some of you WANT LSU to lose just to prove your hatred for Miles is justified.

LSU is more than Les Miles...

It was Miles' third year. Recruited by Saban....coached by Miles. How hard is that?

tough to get an OC when you're an apparent lame duck head coach.

dude .. les miles is one of maybe 50 coaches that could have done that with the talent left here in his first three years .. the 2006 team was probably the best in the history of LSU football ...

or unbelievable recruiting.

his first true signing class was 2006 ... so far that group isn't setting the world on fire over the last two seasons, so no ..
