You can't complain after the fact what the coaches make. You have to offer these guys lucrative contracts to come to LSU. You have to give the head coach a big raise and contract extension after he wins a BCS Title. That's the nature of the business. You can't give them a pay cut after a bad season that is not how a contract works.

It's not reallistic unless it was done nation wide or if it had been that way all along, however if there was a reasonable base salary with a bonus for each win I believe less folks would have issue with someone making this kind of money based on thier performance.

Getting paid based off of wins would never happen. Why would a coach give up gauranteed money over a bonus? No coach is going to turn down gauranteed millions over a bonus or not getting paid.

Where the LSU football program stands now only 2 years after a NC is concerning but the future seems damn right Scary.
