LSU loses a game against Clemson but does well enough in SEC, they will make the playoff. Ole Miss this year was expected to make the CFP with their roster and schedule. How did playing cupcakes work out for them? They had a false sense of security by thinking they were great while beating Furman by 70 points. This idea that playing a good OOC opponent will automatically disqualify LSU is ridiculous. If that is the case, the fans should be saying LSU needs to go to the Big 12 conference bc it easier to get to CFP. LSU fans being pussies bc they are scared.

Committee just showed why you’re wrong. You get rewarded for playing weak schedules. Shite look at Tennessee besides their bama win didnt beat anyone noteworthy

You play to win championships. It’s not being scared of Championships. It’s called evolving and not being archaic

Then college football is going to be very weak for the first month of the season. Imagine a Saturday night headline game on prime time week 1 instead of Alabama vs Michigan. It will be Alabama vs Toledo.

If that is going to be the case, committee might as well go back to 4 team playoff. Tennessee had a weak schedule but they got lucky too in games they should have lost but did not. Anyone think they will beat OSU in Columbus the 1st round?

I'd much rather LSU make the CFP by winning the conference rather than playing cupcakes and "hoping" for only 2 losses to get an at large bid.

It will get watered down and people will continue to watch. Playoff games will generate even more money. It’s not about the best product because the committee has made that clear with the teams that let in.

LSU should do the same until it can’t.
