This is the reason I think we are still 8-5 even if JJ is starter after Hatch goes down.
Even though without even the benefit of a redshirt year, JJ showed tremendous improvement in the subsequent games he played in, while JL never stopped stinking it up in all the games he played in. Yeah right! Indeed, you are not only obsessed, but you are obviously mentally handicapped as well.

+1 I see him in a John Brantley role this season, and will get time to show a little something, and i hope he does well

Miles' quote has nothing to do with what the original quote was
My point is that no one has beaten out anyone else, at this point. Miles clearly said that JL will see the field and certain posters need to accept that, get off his back, and let JL progress as everyone within the program says he is doing.

he will without a doubt see the field, probably as the starter some point this season...but there is no reason to believe he will beat out JL for the starting job from what we've seen in spring and the summer. JJ gets hit a lot though, and JL time will come where he will have to lead the team

Any of yall think that JL does not have a great arm??? Did yall not see the talent he displayed to come back against Auburn? The kid has a crap load of talent!!!! He was a freshmen last year and was not ready to play yet. He will progress and get a lot better. JJ just adapted to the big game atmosphere better, it does not mean that b/c JL didn't that he is not going to be a great QB. Please quit the JL bashing b/c he is an injury away from being a possible future all-american. Look at Matt Staffords freshmen numbers please and tell me a Qb can't improve. Some of you people give even the rantards a bad name!

both QB's were young last year, but QB's made mistakes.
Lee threw INT
JJ takes sacks and has a tendency to fumble
JL also took his share of sacks last year. Nevertheless, I will take sacks over interceptions and pick sixes for touchdowns any day of the week and twice on Saturday, and I will start worrying about fumbles when JJ loses 16 of them with 7 of them being returned for touchdowns.
By the way, how many games did JL finish with net positive rushing yards last season? The answer is zero. The reality is that except for just 2 games in which JL had 0 net yards rushing, JL ended up with net negative yards rushing for the game in all the other ones and he didn’t score a single rushing touchdown or make a single first down.
Which also, by the way, allowed the defense to ignore him completely and concentrate on the running backs whenever we tried to run the option, which was one of our best plays the previous season when Matt Flynn was still here.

These are correctable problems at least, and with age, experience, coaching, and playing time they can be corrected.
Under most circumstances, except your idol continued without interruption to make the same stupid mistakes in game after game he played in last season without any improvement whatsoever.

yes, because he threw so many pick-6's the defense rightfully just said the hell with it and quit working hard...I can't blame them at all.
Signed, TheDoc
when you throw on average, 2 INT's a game, in 8 games, chances are youre going to throw a pick 6 or 2.
maybe even 7...
